The late lilies are blooming, and the orientals are starting now. I missed most of the asiatic hybrids, so I'm eagerly anticipating these. I like lilies.

The L. canadense, at least that's what the tag said. We had one stem with blooms last year, and this year there are four. It's about 6 foot 6, two meters tall:

This is "Shocking" a trumpet type:

This is "Muscadet". It doesn't handle rain well:

    A very small turban thingy:

Trumpet lilies, they're hybrids with no name:

    Got Ligularia too:

    Gentiana makinoi:

    Knautia:

This is a Lavatera, looks like the Malva but is more wooden at the base:

The pink Sanguisorba. I missed the white one's blooms:

Hypericum, spreads like wildfire but is pretty:

    My mother's tiger lily:

    Primula florinda are still blooming:

And that poor plum tree. Anybody want to come and help me eat those plums in a week's time?

If there was not so much water between me and you I would love to come and eat your plums. We could make plum jelly, too. Alas, no bridge yet. I love your garden flowers though. dooley

I really like that first lily, shocking, it's so pretty. I like the all but I think this one is my favorite today.

    Thanks for sharing.

Just put me down on the plum-eating list as well, Droopy. :)

You still have oodlesof flowers, I see.--and they're looking quite good.
I know you are especially proud of the lilies.
That Primula of your mum-- Gonnnnnggg! What a stunner.
I liked the looks of the Gentiana, the rest are all beauties as well. You have such a good combination.

Thank you all for you kindness. The sun's out again today, and our flowers seem to enjoy that. The Primula florinda like it wet and cool, and they bloom for a long time. Yes, I really like my lilies. I think we'll be testing the plums today, they're going purple at an alarming rate.
