Hi all.. Long time since I was here. Since my stroke I'm more or less house bound. My wife passed away last year and my two sons live in different provinces, 659 miles away in Calgary and 2700 miles away in Toronto. But I still have the birds that I try to look after. I would like to share a few of my pictures of them that I have put together in a little story. I hope it works and that you enjoy looking at it. I call the the story The Love of Birds Just give it a click.
Hi @Kildale i hope that you manage ok with day to day things. Thank you yes i clicked on your link and it worked, so many lovely birds, they must bring you a lot of joy.
Hi Kildale, so nice to see you back here! That's quite a buffet for the birds, they are so lucky to have you! Great shots as always
Very nice resource for anyone interested in nature. Really like to look around this site so much to see and learn.
Mate, I am over the moon to see you on here and hear that you are alright. I am very sorry to learn that you lost your wife. Sincere condolences, my friend. I hope that you are getting along pretty good now. As always, I find your work with birds so enormously interesting. It is interesting how you can get them so close. My special interest is the variety of birds that you have there— almost all of which do not exist over here. Great posting. I hope that you will be able to visit here more often.
Thank you Sjoerd for the nice message. I will try to visit more often although not been able to garden doesn't leave me with many options other than birds,, We do get one bird that you may be familiar with.
I am so pleased to hear that you will try and show up more often. It does not matter if all you talk about or show are birds. That will suit me just fine. Yes, we know those. Have you seen this posting of mine: https://www.gardenstew.com/threads/the-dove-games.44640/#post-423868 Cheers for the dove pic.
Great to see you @Kildale. Sorry to hear about your recent troubles and condolences on the loss of your wife. Really enjoyed your newest bird slideshow, always warms the heart to see them.
Thank you Frank, I wish I was still gardening but cannot manage that now. Afraid it will have to be birds, thanks again.
