Stopped by Lowes just to get some wasp spray and just couldn't help but check out the markdown rack. And what markdowns they had! I got all of these for less than $5.00!

Can I come live with you? :D We don't have Lowes here in Scotland - wish we did. You certainly got a real bargain with all those plants Cheryl. Now where are you going to put them all?

I love going to Lowes at this time of the year and thru early fall, they have the best sales and the majority of the sale plants are still in good shape. Most are either the last of their kind or they got too many in the spring and people stopped buying them. Of course there are some that are just dead sticks in the pot too, sometimes if those are perennials it can be worth the $1 or so to try to rescue them and hope they come back next year.

I need to get over there this weekend and check out what I can get for the back yard now that the front is almost complete.

Eileen...funny you should ask what I'm going to do with them all! I was thinking the same thing while I was picking them out! (That's why I limited myself to only $5.00 worth.)For now, they'll just have to be content to live in pots. I am thinking ahead though. Hopefully by next spring we'll be moving into the family home... and there's LOTS of room there. I've even struck up a deal with my sister and brothers (who also own a share in the house) that I could section off a piece of the yard just for planting flowers!

What a fab deal. I did get 2 rosemary plants for 50p tonight, which I thought was okay. Us gardeners love a bargain.

Mmm - delicious! You most certainly got a lot of nice stuff there. Most of it won't even look at our climate and live. :D P

I liked your pun...annnnnnd the great plants you got for so cheaply. Way to go, Cheryl.
The containers look to be a reasonable size--that's good for you.
Now, to get them into the ground. Please be sure to post some piccies in a few weeks so we can see how well they look.

Love finding a bargain... but haven't been as lucky as TheBip getting stuff for free (except from friends and neighbors, of course).
