One day last week we had 20 or so Robins in the front yard. They were hitting the 2 birdbaths bathing and drinking and catching bugs in the yard. After an hour or so they were gone. Then today we had a large group stop off for a couple of hours before they too left. It's like they know that we have a supply of clean water for them and they can rest their wings for a while. It won't be long before our pair of red headed woodpeckers will be leaving for the south. Will miss them when they don't come up to fight with the blue jays over the peanuts in the feeder in the mornings!

I think it's very early for this but maybe it's a sign of an early Winter. they usually follow the bugs and we still have lots of them.

I'll tell them hello when they invade my garden here in Florida. :) We get a lot of "snow birds" in the winter. I have a mated pair of cardinals that live in my neighbors tree. They visit my feeder several times a day. I have learned their voices, I look forward to their visits as do my birds.
