Luscious foto's Jewell. The first thought that came to mind when I saw that Rip van Winkel daff was that the hale had shredded the petals. woops! What am I like. This act was overwhelming. I really did like seeing your blooms very much.
Jewell, you not only offer hope to those in the snow belt, but also enjoyment to those of us farther south. I love the phptos of the forsythia and cherry blooms especially. I remember them fondly from when we lived up north, and no longer have either. Thank you for a trip through your garden, and down memory lane!

They are all so pretty, the last two photos reminded me of the time when I was in Japan during Sakura. I was there on business and we had lunch under the beautiful cherry blossom. It was priceless.
Thanks all for the kind comments. I hate seeing snow forecasted this late in the season but I remember an April 15th snow fall one year. Yuck! Spring isn't too many weeks away. With work and cold rainy, windy weather I feel like I have been missing much of the changing season. A walk around the block renewed my seasonal reconnection. KK the cherry blossoms are truly heavenly sitting under them. It amazes me that anything can be so real and surreal at the same time. Marlingardener, isn't it amazing how certain plants bring back such memories. Sjoerd, the rip van winkles were a treat to me from me. They are a heirloom variety, mini with pointed petals, similar but different from my van dion, another old variety. I love the doubling of these old types that actually reproduce in my garden. I am hoping to extend spring with other Stewie photos coming soon I hope.
Oh My! I am so jealous!! Your blooms are so pretty! You have all that blooming now? It is so DORMANT here!! Not much of anything blooming yet. I have tiny little green coming up on some perennials, but most plants are quietly waiting for warmer days. Thanks for the show! Beautiful!
