We have Ospreys over here in Scotland too Linda and I've spent many a happy hour watching them fishing and feeding their youngsters. All our nest sites are heavily protected as there are still some unscrupulous individuals who would steal the eggs if they got the chance. I'm happy to say that this appears to be working and that the Osprey numbers are now on the increase.
Many thanks for you wonderful photographs. :-D

    Ospreys in Tampa, FL

At Tampa Palms there were many lakes, and one day I was watching this bird and it went into the water and came up with a fish. Great moment. There was also these huge nests built on the top of power pole towers. I guess it was an Osprey.

Where I lived before moving back home... right on the San Jacinto river... we had Ospreys. They were so amazing to watch.

Great photos! The Osprey are finally getting more numerous around these parts. They used to be very rare. I love to watch them :)
