This is our second time buying a house and our very first time selling one. This whole process seems to be taking ages to complete. The first time felt like it was much easier even though it took us a while before we found our current home which is soon going to be former. Our Current Home ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden ) Anyway we are at the 50% mark of acquiring our new home and selling our current home. Should everything were to go smoothly we have to move out by mid November and in almost at the same time. If this does not happened we might have to stay in a hotel for a while and I have no idea what are we going to do with all our earthly possession! New Home to be ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden )
Wow, KK! the new one has a larger garden, though, right? the house looks grand! I think it would be overwhelming to move from here to a new house. You are courageous!
Excellent old home, and superbly regal new home. With those big windows in the new home it looks like it could be an excellent place for plants???? Moving is hard work emotionally as well as physically. Hang in there.
I hope things begin to speed up for you KK. It's so stressful trying to sell and buy isn't it? Hopefully, by Christmas, you'll be all settled and enjoying your new home.
Both homes are gorgeous! I thought you were down-sizing? Your new home looks much larger than your old one. Hope the process goes quicker and is an smooth transition.
Hang in there! If the sell/buy doesn't overlap conveniently, you can either "rent" your new home for a week or two until closing, or "rent" your old home until you can move. That new home looks every bit as nice as your old one, and I am sure you'll be happy there.
Thank you all, maybe there is a slight confusion here but then again I could be wrong. The first photo is the house we are staying in now and the second photo is the house we are buying. The house we are staying in now is a single unit or what we refer to as a bungalow. It have a land area of 7,600sq. ft. with the house on it. The house build up area is about 3,000sq. ft. plus. The house we are buying is a semi-detached and have a land area of 3,600sq. ft. with the house on it. The house build up area is about 1,800sq. ft. Carolyn no the new one has a smaller garden and I think it will be much easier on my back maintaining it. Jewell we love our old home but I guess it is for the better we make a move. Yes it is Eileen and I am trying as much as possible to avoid the unnecessary stress. Knowing that we have to move in a couple of months I have stop planting veggies and this is no help at all!!! Thank you Donna S. Becky had started packing and sometimes I can't find my things Cherylad I hope I did not confused you and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the process goes quicker. Thanks for the suggestion Marlingardener, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks Barb, I hope I did not confused you too.
I want to see pictures of the new garden kk! We've been there and done that too, selling a house. Hope it goes fast for you!
KK, both houses are lovely and in a nice location. I have been at my current place for around 26 years. I have never lived any place else so long, and the thought of moving again is a nightmare. I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
