Now that I have a garden and a small front walkway and a nice back deck, I've begun collecting things to put in around. Because I've never had the opportunity to use this kind of stuff before I wasn't even sure what I was looking for. Turns out that whimsical or outright ridiculous little figurines and such really appeal to me. Who knew?? The start of my collection.
Those will be adorable in the garden. I love find odd ball things at thrift stores to use as decorations... I have three cookie jars...one looks like a purple and silver christmas tree ball, a snowman and a large snowflake. Plus so many other things...a Farmall tractor hood and a 1969 chevy pickup tail gate....but I don't do toilets.
Very colourful and funny creatures,..i can just picture you finding a suitable location for each,..were it me i would be endlessly moving them around.

I'm a thrift store/consignment place/garage sales enthusiast myself, and there have been many times I've seen something cute (translation = ridiculous) that I really wanted, but had NO idea where I would ever use it. Now that I have a garden to play in, I can completely see some of those finds being highlighted there! These goofball things were surprisingly inexpensive, and found in unexpected places....Walgreens, the grocery store etc. I'm excited to find more as I shop at my thrifty places!
Those critters are almost like a caption competition photo. The owl and the frog are looking at other in confusion and asking "what is that thing behind us?"

Hank, fabulous movie! The toilet scene was hilarious. I've seen toilets used as decorations/planters in gardens. No offense to anyone here who's done it, but personally it doesn't appeal to me. Saw someone use an old dresser once, with each drawer pulled out successively more than the last. It was a wonderful effect!
I agree with Toni and Ronni... I wouldn't plant up a toilet either. There's an old one in the junk pile and my brother asked "you put flowers in everything else... why not that old toilet?" I said "why don't you take it home with you and put it in your flower bed"? The toilet is still laying there in the junk.
I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a very cheap pair of old army type boots/work books in as large a size as possible, when I go out on my thrift store/garage sale excursions. I really want to use one as a planter! Not sure what I'll put in it yet other than somethong flowering and colorful, or even where I'll display it. I just know I REALLY want to do that.
Those things are cute.One thing about knick knacks,they last & don't need water! I wouldn't put a toilet in my garden either. sNs
