In the early evening we saw this sunset from the upstairs balcony. It was fleeting, but it was so striking that we both just stood there and watched until the sun sank below the horizon. A bit later we took this one which looks quite a bit similar, but the magic was gone in a very short time after the shutter snapped. The harbour tower is one of the two symbols of this city, and I like the looks of it from up close or from a distance. It was originally built in 1532.
Thanks Kildale. To be honest; the credit goes to Mother Nature, all that I did was to depress the camera button.
what a beautiful view. thanks for sharing. I NEVER get to see a sunset from home. our backyard goes uphill and with woods on top. if I am leaving home and the sun is setting... I might get lucky, but to be honest I probably can count on one hand the number of times I get to see a sunset in the last 25 years. I don't leave home that late in the day. I am ready for bed at that hour.
@Sjoerd only just saw your post..what a stunner of a sunset besides the harbour, it sounds glorious where you live
Thanks a mil, Gale. I so appreciate your nice comments. I mean, my Bride and I find it here nice, but when someone else likes it, it makes me feel quite good.
Sjoerd it's a place where I would appreciate living it's gorgeous... the really nice scenery here is when we do get a nice sunset in the summer and the light on the gravels shines it red and I just love it. There's nothing better than beauty around you, it makes life worth living.
Some times "Fleeting" moments like that just stop us in our tracks and we are so entranced by the magical beauty..just leaves us so stunned and in awe.while the pic is so gorgeous with such contrast, the experience is always so unique and serine in our world today.?
