Hi everyone! Remember me? Yes I had been away for a while, but I never forgot any one of you people over here. Anyway, it sure took a lot of time on my part to make (as I've now become extremely busy) - But I am happy to report that I am fully satisfied with the end product! OK, so without any further ado - Here is the ultimate Flower Show video (shot in February of this year, but uploaded for everyone to see just yesterday)! 60th Annual Flower Show of Pakistan http://youtu.be/CI0yR40uLT8
IS this an actual site? A real one? what is this "youtu.be" ??? I'm just more scared than others to try links...
That's the short link which YouTube gives (for faster service). However, the "old school" link also exists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI0yR40uLT8
Hi S-H, very colourful indeed,..so many flowers unknown to me,..but also nice to see the familiar ones,..that's a long video,..i stopped it went and made a coffee so i could relax seeing the complete video,..before that woman tripped on the carpet i spotted a child getting his foot caught in the same spot,..the thought hit me,..someone will trip on that,..sure enough,..at least the woman wasn't hurt. Well made with those animations.
What a wonderful video Shahbaz!! I sat at the computer with my lunch to watch it. So many flowers, cacti, gorgeous wooden furniture, lights - oh I could go on and on. Many thanks for taking the time to make this video for us and for sharing it.
You have outdone yourself Shahbaz, it was just like being there. So many flowers, food, vendor stalls and bonus footage too!! You deserve the rest at the end. Thank you for the great video. Jerry
Yes Philip, you are indeed most observant! The child who nearly tripped on the carpet was actually the youngest ever person to have received an award for outstanding work in the flower arrangement contest. He however was too young to even say flower arrangement, so instead he said: "faavor aajanment".. Another funny thing (aside from that lady falling just like a 747 nosediving into the ground), was the owner of stall number A12 & A13! He did not put up a sign that said "photographs not allowed" - Instead he shouted at me in the most ugly fashion (and also demanded that I delete the footage in front of him)... I of course told him that had you put up a sign saying that photographs and video is not allowed, than I wouldn't even have bothered gathering my video footage. Yet now you all of a sudden are demanding that I delete my footage, and that too after I am done? I mean, weren't you standing right here next to me when I was filming? Why didn't you stop me when I started??? Still he continued to shout, and in his rage he ended up saying "you are not taking my picture" - He of course should have said that "you are not taking any picture of my furniture". So I promised to do exactly! By not showing his picture or the name of his shop (which was Maya Exterior Furniture). Instead I showed a donkey, and have also now emailed him the link to my video! So his furniture design is also out in the open, and what's even worse is that the name of his shop is also not shown! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Eileen and Jerry, yes I indeed had lots of fun filming the entire event. The weather was good, and the ocean breeze was also very pleasant (so I did not get tired at all). The music I picked was from The Shadows (Sir Cliff Richard's band of the 60s). They really don't make music like that anymore I am sorry to say... Of course, most of the music played by The Shadows was before I was even born - But I know good music when I hear it! Everyone (except for the owner of stall A12 & A13) was extremely nice and welcoming. I have received a few emails from some of them appreciating my video! However, the real hero in all of this is Mr. A. K. khan, the founding father of the Horticultural Society of Pakistan. Who till this day is at the helm of the entire organization (at the age of 92, and still going strong)! Here is a link about him: http://www.dawn.com/2011/07/31/flashbac ... shade.html
