You all remember this bucket of Wave Petunias from a couple of years ago? It really has surprised me by surviving my winters without any protection.

So imagine my delight when I discovered that it either had reseeded or a piece fell off and took.

I hope you can see how many blooms it has already.

I remember those petunias!! They're filling in that area really nicely. So glad they survived and multiplied for you.

My petunias come back on the original stem after winter. Our long hot summers are a whole 'nuther thing, but they do come back from seeds when the temperature cools some.

I honestly never expected it to last one whole year... but to start all on it's own... I'm tickled! I told Hubby... "bet if I tried to get it to do that, it would have died!" :D

    Very pretty! Love the color.
I had Petunia's re-seed and survive my zone 5 winters, they are tough!

Cor blimey! What a great specimen that is, or a testimony to your superlative gardening skills. hahaha
Any way you cut the cake, it has done well and is very pretty.
I find that when one looks at those flowers up close they are quite beautiful.

Odd that I have always admired this type, but never bought any for myself. :-?

I always wondered how one would do in the ground instead of a container. Guess I know now! :-D
