First the 100+ streak ended on Thursday, reaching only 40 days.

This morning after 51 days of dry, we are getting RAIN It evidently started very early this morning and has now come to an end leaving....2 and a half inches in the really large rain gauge out front!!! Must have been heavy at some point, lots of Zinnia's are laying down but they will rise again.
My rain barrels, water plant pots, birdbaths are all full now and it is very warm and muggy outside but what the heck, it RAINED

The 100+ temperatures will be returning tomorrow. I just hope rain comes again soon.

We have lost the rain over here and it is getting hotter by the day. Guess the rain must have migrated to your area :)

Glad to hear your long rainless period has ended. Perhaps thinking about building an ark (a small ark) may get more rain.

I'm so pleased for you. What a nice consolation prize for not winning the "hottest weather in x days running"-contest.

Rain, rain and more rain. We have an abundance of the wet stuff from the sky here. I'd gladly swap your temperatures for ours for a while Toni. However, I'm really pleased for you and hope there's more rain coming your way soon.

Awesome news on the rain Toni! It was definitely your turn!
We have big fluffy white clouds in abundance today. No rain clouds... but at least they're blocking out some of the scorching sun.

The rain was wonderful and all my plants are sucking it up so the soil should be bone dry again by this time tomorrow.

The clouds are holding on but the sun is peeking through in spots, shouldn't be long before we have our very own sauna out there.

Well, no rain here. Toni must have soaked it all up. We had to go to Bryan/College Station this morning and it was cooler and very cloudy there but it didn't rain on us there either. If Toni gets rain and Cherylad gets rain, maybe we will get some one of these days. Right now it's 101 degs.

Great news, Toni! I hope that you can get some more. The humidity is a bad side-effect...but shucks, it's rain.
I hope that the temps will be less than expected. That would be great, wouldn't it.

Today was very pleasant...after the humidity dropped a lot. The temperature didn't get out of 80's. That hasn't happened since May 26th.

Thankfully the sun didn't show it's evil self until it was too late for it to make us miserable when we stepped out the door.

It would be great if the temperatures fooled the weather people and stayed under 100. I have a personal call in to Mother Nature asking for mercy after the summer we have had. ;)
