Never ceases to amaze me when I find something new in bloom each day I didn't notice the day before. Here's my most recent "find", and I don't know what kind it is (guessing delta blue?).

I don't know what it is about blue flowers but I love them!!! :D Your iris is gorgeous. Mine are just beginning to come into bud now.

BTW my friend - the one who grows all her own iris - is away on holiday at the moment. I'll try to remember to ask her to ID your iris's when she gets back.

Your Columbine looks amazing PianoLady, the red and yellow combination is very striking. Also that squirrel is definitely up to no good :D

Blue is my favorite color so of course I think that iris is absolutely stunning!! The columbine as also beautiful, mine didn't come back this year, so I'm really disappointed!! The squirrel is soooo cute, but they can be very irritating!! My dogs keep them ran out of our yard!!

Gorgeous! Excellent shot of the sedum, and columbine especially.

And I had to just laugh at taking a picture of the blackberry flowers - ours aren't in bloom around here yet, but they are considered a pest and if we didn't all kill them constantly I think Oregon would be nothing but one huge blackberry bramble. I've seen them pull down abandoned buildings and entirely engulf old cars. They sure taste good though, lots of free berries for the picking on any fallow ground come end of August.
