Heyyyyyyy... I like that! Brill. What a great use for those old wellies. I've never seen that before. It works, though. Well done, you!

Those are really neat. Planted in the top and in holes cut around the boot, what a good idea.

    Did you make them?

Alas no, not my work. Again, seen today at my garden visit, fixed to a shed in the veggie garden. A great idea so I shall be hanging on to the kids wellies as they grow out of them!

I need to talk to my oldest daughter, my youngest grandson latched onto a pair of 'froggy boots' several years ago. Green with yellow trim and frog eyes over the toes, he wore them everywhere. I hope she didn't throw them out when he outgrew them, I need to plant something in them and hang them on the shed out back. ;)

That looks great! I did something simular to that the first yr i was living here. Only i took KB's old work boots, the leather and cloth kink and planted in them. Too bad the winter destroyed the boots. I just had them sitting at our front door. And i have planted in the wooden clogs we have here, but aunt liked them so much she took them home,,,lol.

SongofJoy57, the plants were a mixture of herbs like basil and thyme, strawberry plants and lettuces.

I don't see why not and at least it means the slugs can't get at it.
