Yeah, right! The white veil on the mountains is new snow. June 1st and new snow! ( photo / image / picture from Droopy's Garden ) Yesterday morning we had 4°C / 39°F. Yesterday evening we had hail, some people claim we had sleet during the night. The lowest temperature during last night was 2°C / 36°F. Yay summer!
Beautiful mountain, clouds and snow. We have had summer since May 2011, I would gladly trade weather with you for a few months if I could.
Hi, Droopy; is that scene visible from your home/village?... I think it is beautiful and I would have difficulty getting anything accomplished because I'd spend too much time just staring at the view.. Hank
We haven't had too much snow here in Scotland but we have had torrential rain and flash flooding. I wonder when, and if, summer is going to arrive for us all. :-?
Beautiful photo Droopy, but I can relate. As I was sitting here just now, the furnace turned on! It is only 8°C today, raining and windy. Three days ago it was 34°C! Mother Nature just can't make up her mind this year...
Oh, toni, I too wish we could! It's so unfair, both of us being fed up with the weather on opposite ends of the thermometer. Henry, that mountain has been to the south of me for most of my life. I'm used to it, and its more spectacular neighbours. The fjord I live by is visited by several big cruise ships every summer - or should I say "summer". Thanks, stratsmom, eileen, carolyn and Netty. Shared misery is half misery or words to that effect. But I still feel miserable. My only hope now is the old saying about "May cold makes the farmer's larder full". (Translated from Norwegian, I don't know if there's a similar saying in English.)
