The birds found the new bird feeder late on Thurs. and they are out there im mass this morning.

The chickadees were the first to find it.

    Then came the Blue Creepers.

And they go through all kinds of antics to get the seeds!

Your new feeder looks a treat, and I imagine the birds find it a treat too. :D

awe what sweet little birds, the creeper sure gets himself into difficult positions to get the seed . I havent seen the birds at our feeder since we had the cats in the garden, such a shame I loved watching them.

good idea with the mesh, less loss of seed. The birdies seem to be happy with it. Thanks for the photo.

So glad your birds found the feeder and that you were around to take those great photographs of them. Your chickadees look like our coal tits and the blue creepers look similar to our nuthatches.

eileen, they are nuthatches. We have the blue and brown varieties. The chickadees usually have a few titmice paling around with them too.

That feeder looks like a really good one--and it's popular.
It looks like the last two pics are of a nuthatch. Is that possible?

The last 2 pics are nuthatches. They are the bue variety. Normally they creep up and down the tees getting ants and bugs. But mine love sunflower seeds too!

I can't get either one of those birds to my feeders. I had them when I lived in the country but I have only seen a chickadee once at the feeders here. I really enjoyed those two when I had them. Great pictures...

Great picture and a nice bird feeder too! I am sure you will find it a great way to just relax and watch the birds for hours. My daughter loves watching the birds. We have set up two regular feeders. My mother in law now has one outside her living room window. We can all sit there and watch them feed.
