My heart goes out to members who are fighting with the storms in California and other places they're hitting ...sadly homes flooded and lives at risk.
How kind of you! The east coast (South and North Carolina, Virginia, and possibly more inland states) have been hit hard with flooding, and now tornadoes spawned by Florence. California, Oregon, Washington state, and other western states have had horrific wildfires and landslides cause by the lack of vegetation. Keep thinking of those impacted, and hoping the loss of life is lessened. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
My experience with hurricane Florence was one of mutual respect... I didn't bother her and she left me alone for the majority of the weekend! Honestly it was moderate wind and rain that caused zero damage and flooding.
@marlingardener sorry for being late replying It's just a terrible state in how different countries besides area's get affected & our news up dates we regular thank god....come winter here i suppose there'll be more flooding and high winds.
I've just come home from a long week-end away but I was thinking about you all when I heard what the weather had in store for you. We're expecting 80mph winds here in Scotland today but I know that it's not nearly as bad as what the US had been having. Stay safe everyone.
Hello Eileen...hubby read in the newspaper that it could be reaching up to 100mph...I hope you area doesn't get affected to much
