It's 21.30 here now, and nearing bed time for old, worn-out gals like me. About half an hour ago I walked down to the sea and photographed the lovely weather:

Please let me know if you're tiring of those mountains now. :D

The mid-summer bonfire is already growing too:

    Beautiful pictures of majestic mountains.
You have seen pictures of how flat it is in my part of Texas, so you know I never get tired of looking at pictures of mountains.

We have no special celebrations here for mid-summer, the equinoxes or the winter Solstice. Wish we did, I would love to take part.

I like your mountains Droopy. We have small hills around but no mountains. Looks like your bonfire pile will be quit a fire. We mostly do them on weekends-weather permitting.

Such amazing shades of blue, I'm continually amazed by the beauty of Norway. Thanks for posting. Make sure you get us a bonfire-in-action photo Droopy ;)

Absolutely striking fotos, Droopy. Such clarity and such natural beauty. I don't think that I would ever tire of looking of pics like that.
...as for that misleading remark about "old and worn-out gals"---I don't buy that for one minute.

Oh such beauty. I have a beach and I have mountains but not in the same scene. I could never tire of that view. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm with Frank on the bon-fire in action pics.

No mountains here either, so keep 'em coming! Between you and Biita, you've got my interest up to want to visit Norway at sometime in my life.

There's a cute commercial on here (for a charge card company) that features a father and son who go to Sweden, the home of their ancestors...until they go to the archives and discover that they're actually from Norway. So the son buys them both a ticket to Norway, and it ends with them sitting at a restaurant in Norway with a fish head on their plate. I guess you'd have to see it to appreciate it, but it's a cute one.

It looks so clean! I swear, the sky is blue-er there. One day I'll be able to travel and find out what that smells like, but for now I'll assume it's wonderful. Thanks Droopy.

We have hills and mountains aplenty here in Scotland but nothing quite as beautiful as yours. Ours tend to be far more rugged in appearance not the clean, fresh look of yours Droopy.

I'm not tired of mountain shots either Droppy. You live in a very beautiful place. That will be quite a fire - don't forget the marshmallows! (Do you roast marshmallows in Norway? LOL)

Thanks for the wonderful comments, all. It's a bit unfair of me to post photos taken in lovely weather because it's normally not like that. :-D

    Sjoerd:  You're too kind.

Boiled cod's head is considered a delicacy, but I agree it doesn't look very appetizing. I prefer to eat food that's not staring back at me.

We roast marshmallows, but not on the big bonfires. That little heap there is but the beginning. It will be huge before it's lit and far too hot to venture near. The celebrations are usually good fun. It's only two more months.

Ahhh I envy your clear weather! Its so overcast here, and rain,,, but thats good its getting ridd of the snow! The sea here is still frozen, so i'll look at yours and dream of mine,,,lol. Our pile is getting big too, but we have to move it to the sea when all the snow is gone. Can't wait for mid-summer fires! I love looking out over the sea or driving down the sea in the boat and seeing all the fires around the country side,, its magical.

I can't eat anything that is looking at me either. lol. at least they weren't cod tongues,,,lol.

Toni you CAN celebrate mid-sommer, if you have a grill or a fire pit, use wood, light it, and relax with some sausages and marshmallows, and a few good drinks,, you'll be right here with us in spirit!
