    I have never seen one like that but it is so different ,your so right an oddity .I do love the unusal.I'm glad Droopy could ID it for you.

    A really beautiful specimen Poppy. I'd be tempted to collect some of the seeds when it finishes flowering.

    How funny, I was in a new "upscale" urban garden center today and they had one of these. I had never seen one before. It's really beautiful and kind of "Dr Suessical." I wondered about it but didn't have time to ask about it as I was just out for lunch. And here it is... what a coincidence.

    I've seen these things in yellow also. I'd like to find a bulb or two and try them. We have pretty good luck with bulbs in this area :)

    I love the "Dr. Seussical" daisybeans :D

    The well named Crown imperial Lily. They are easy to grow and should be left alone once planted.

    Beautiful to look at but not so nice to smell :)
