A new planter from a friend-all it needed was a coat of paint and a few flowers

OOOHH! I really like the vivid pink bloom! What is it?
And the Indian pipe, is that a flower or a fungus or what? I've never heard of it, very unusual!

Beautiful blooms Netty. I really like your new planter, nice of your friend to give it to you. Is the first purple one Monkshood?

Yours is the second Monotropa uniflora (Indian Pipe) I have seen a photo of recently and I love it. Now I need to search the web to see where I can get one.
By the way, GS Plants could use your photo too ;)

Great planter Netty - wish I had friends like yours. ;) That Indian Pipe plant is very unusual but I love it - a nice talking point for any garden. You have so much colour in your garden at the moment. The Globe Tthistle and the Phlox look really good together. :-D

Lovely blooms! :stew2: I especially liked that Indian pipe. Now I need to read a bit about it. I guess it won't take my climate though, even if I should manage to find seeds.

Lovely, lovely flowers. I especially like the phlox and the Echinops bannaticus...but they are all quite inspiring to see.

You should get some kind of reward for your garden, Netty.
