I was working at my computer yesterday, and some movement caught my eye. I looked up to see this guy standing just outside the window staring at me. I managed to get the camera and got quite a few shots of him. Here are a sample of the results. --- Tom

He moved, and I was using a slow shutter speed because of poor lighting. It made a strange photo.

The faceless deer! *frightened* :D He's a cute, little fellow, Capt. I really like his eyes. Wonder what he's thinking, posing for you and looking about him?

Maybe he's a computer buff and wants to become a member of GardenStew Tom? ;) He's a handsome specimen and looks to be carrying enough weight to get him through the winter without any problems. Love that last shot. :D :D

Wow I'd love to see that outside my window. But not faceless!

Great photos Tom, thanks for taking the time to post them.

What a beautiful creature. The views thru the window just behind your computer are always something special.

I need a view like that out of my window. Nothing but blank wall in front of my computer and another house out the side window. Maybe the view in Texas will be better. dooley

Hope you don't mind, I stole a couple of shots for my reference file. Not that last one though, it's a little creepy!

I too wondered what he was thinking, he looked me right in the eye, and didn't show any fear. His tail never went up. He was standing there for about 10 to 15 minutes, and I was able to go to 3 different windows that provided slightly different views. Each time I moved to a different window, he spotted me right away. I ran out of space on the memory card after 64 shots, and went back to the computer to look at the pictures that I had, and he still stood there watching me. Finally he just wandered away. When we designed the house I made sure that my office faced the woods and the lake so I could enjoy the views. There is always something going on out there, from the Squirrels and Rabbits to the Deer and friends on the lake, to the weather. We have a Fox that I have been trying to get a picture of, he comes through here regularly, but he never stops and he moves so purposefully that I only have seconds to get his picture. I haven't been able to get anything recognizable yet. He must have had a run in with some other predator, as he only has a stub of a tail. Your welcome to take the pictures, It's my hope the others can enjoy my pictures. I hesitated posting that last picture, it is a bit spooky.

Great pics! The look on his face was funny, looked like he wasn't quite sure what was going on.
