Can anyone help to ID these plants for me. I'm almost sure the last two are weeds but want to be certain before I eradicate them. They are in a garden that I'm helping to sort out and I don't want to kill something that might be there for a reason.

    Plant No. 1.

    Plant No. 2.
(It's the tiny plants covering the ground all around the poppies and underneath the daffs)

    Plant No.3.

(It's the four in the front on the, almost, bare soil.)

    Many thanks in advance.

The first looks like celery, though you'd want to confirm that with a more knowledgeable veggie person.

#2 - some of the foliage has a poppy look to it. That many sprouts of anything would make me nervous.

Could #1 be Italian parsely? Does it have a smell?
#2 is hard to see ... could they be volunteers from the poppy?
#3 the 4 sprouts look like mint. Again, does it smell?

I am not sure on the first one and on #2...I can't see what it is you are wanting an id on. #3 looks like purselane to me. did you just weed around it? usually it is prostrate not upright.

I really don't know what was in the garden last year as it isn't mine. The lady (85) is keen on herbs though so I thought some might have self seeded into these areas.
It's so hard to tell at this stage exactly what pictures two and three may be but I didn't want to leave them if they were weeds and would cause her problems later in the year.

I believe #2 is a Kidney Leaved Buttercup (Ranunculus abortivus).

Could the first one be cilantro? See the seeds indicate an umbellifer? I think cilantro is an umbellifer. Or how about chervil?

#2--I can't see well enough. Even if they are seedlings of something, they are way too dense. You could transplant a few elsewhere, and yank the rest.

#3 Yeah, I don't know. Could be purslane. Could be zinnia. Got me on that one.
