Look closely for my little bird friends...I am sorry they are blurry but when I step out the door they fly away, so I took them through the window glass. They seem to be scared more of noise in the winter than in the summer. Most of them are finches, juncos, nuthatches and sparrows in the pictures.

Really great photographs Sherry. I have the same problem that you do - I open the door and off all the birds fly. Your garden looks lovely covered in snow. :-D

Very nice pictures, Sherry. Yes I saw the little birds before I read your caption. Looks like they are having a great time. The snow is beautiful. I would be curled up with hot chocolate and a roaring fire in the fireplace ... if I had one!!

    Pergola..........

That was an excellent contribution for the birds to rest this winter.. I love the design in the middle.
    Really good work.

Netty...it is a pergola. We just decided to build one to attract the birds until our trees get larger. You can see more pictures from summer in my blog...

Kuntrygal....I do have a fire in the fireplace..it is a gas fireplace but it helps with heating the livingroom. Just thinking about enjoying some hot chocolate. It is still snowing here since late this morning. I think this will bring good accumulations and the Packers won the football game so what could be better...

Burrrrrrrrr.... that looks chilly there, Sherry, but don't those birds look happy as can be with their man-made "tree". It is a great piece of work.
Actually the foto with the snow coming down looks quite nice. (tipping my hat)

    Sjoe,

When are you going to show photos of Ice skating there?

Do they use wooden shoes at all??????

    Were still learning........
Do you have pet dog or anything?

Wouldn't it be a nice picture to see flowers growing in wooden shoes? I know I for one would love to have something like that on my front steps....I tried growing in a pair of regular shoes once but they got pretty gross with so much watering...at least with wooden shoes you could put drainage holes in them and then seal them so the wood would last...

I guess we will have to see if Sjoerd posts a picture...maybe our question should be : do they still make wooden shoes?

    Sherry.............
    Sjoe must of left......

Yes we could make holes in the shoes purposely..
Always thought they were so cute.. Now did they really wear them?? Or was it our school books saying that?

    Ouch....
