Oh look it's a monster taking over my land!....Oh it's just those darned tiger lillies! They're rampant and stealing all of my flower garden space!
I have to dig to china to get the roots out.
Does anyone else have this problem?

    They're quick little buggers.

I had the same problem here Malamik. I moved them all out of my gardens and into their own space where they could run rampant.

They are definately tiger lillies, it must be a northern thing...hmmm.

They're pretty, but the greens are so overwhelming.

    Wish me luck!

Good luck Malamik! I still have a few that pop up in the old spot every now and then.

I have them corraled under my willow tree. Nothing else will grow there, so the tiger lillies can take over if they want and I will have something there.

A lady who works at the post office recently asked me what she could do to thin out her thick grouping of tiger lilies.

That's an easy one. Stick a shovel down in the middle of the patch and pry-up a chunk. Pull out the bulbs to remove (& then plant elsewhere or share with someone else if desired.)

How much water should the lily bulbs receive after they are moved?
