Steamboat (Hot Pot) consists of a simmering metal pot at the center of the dining table. You add and cook your own chosen items. It was delicious! All those ingredients certainly look delicious Frank. It's nice to see clean plates after a meal - shows that you enjoyed every bit. :-D
Oh wow, Frank! That looks just wonderful. Makes me want a simmering pot right now. Is it a special type of pot just for simmering like that?
This looks really interesting and quite tasty. Are you still in Malaysia? It looks like an oriental eating house. Perhaps Chinese? Some of the best chinese food I have ever eatern was in Malaysia. This looks VERY tasty.
I think so DB, but I'm not certain. It was divided into two compartments. I've never seen one like it before. Yes, still here Sjoerd. And yes you are correct, it was Chinese I love the food so much.
That looks like an interesting meal, guess I would have to try a little of everything. We have many Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants close by and have found two that are our favorites. My youngest daughter really like Sushi...which Randy calls bait. I have seen those pots like that in the Oriental markets around here and wondered what they were used for.
That looks good!! Haven't had steam boat for awhile now .... yummie Maybe should do it over this weekend. :-D
I just had a feeling, Frank. You must try the orange chicken if you cam....try the saté sticks and ...and.... All the Malaysian food that you can. Will you be going to Kuala Terengganu...and Kohta Baru? It would be nice if you posted more pics from your journey. I liked Malaysia so much when I was there.
