We have about 4 1/2 inches of snow and still coming down. We could get more snow, rain or freezing rain tonight along with 25 to 35 mph winds. May not go to Granma's house tomorrow for a Christmas party.

Somehow that snow looks MUCH prettier than it does here Capt!
We are under a winter storm warning as well. They are saying we could get up to another 30-40 cm of snow and strong east winds gusting to 80 km/hour. I've already battened down the hatches, got my shovels handy and brought in lots of firewood. And DH has the plow truck gassed up and ready to go.

The nearest we've had to your snow CK is a shower of sleet. It would be nice if we could actually have some snow for Christmas but maybe not quite as much as you have.

We have your snow with some ice mixed in it. Cars are sliding off the road everywhere. We are to have 30 mileper hour winds so we will probably stay home also. Wannabe

Anyone with surplus snow are welcome to send it here. We've only got ground frost. Hope nobody will be snowed in.

That really is pretty. How much more snow did you get Capt?
My yard is always open for snow anytime anyone has extra they wish to pass on to someone else.

Yes! I couldn't agree more. What will be next, I wonder? Sun-and-swim tours to Biita's? Two years ago we had a proper winter, with lots of snow. It didn't arrive until mid-January, but stayed until the beginning of April. The frost was so hard that our shetland pony could walk on the crust on top of the snow. That's winter!

Last year saw very little frost and snow, and we had lots of slugs and lily beetles this summer. Now at least we've got bare frost, so hopefully all the pests will get a good kill-off. No snow reported for this week either. :(

I live waaaaaay above the Artic Circle. We have had nothing but rain, rain and more rain with lots of wind thrown in. Heavy wind that knocks you over. Its warmer up here than it is in southern Norway. Go figure, since it is the artic.

I don't know about the sun part but you can go swim in the North Sea...lol. I think its called the Polar Bear Club... lol. Good luck!!! Since with all the storms, the ocean is violent right now. But then you can go swim in the fjørd under the moonlight. If blue is your favorite skin color. lol.

Seriously this isn't normal right now. we should be frozen solid like a month ago we was, but its all thawed now. we should be at 0 C. or 32 F. but instead we are at 6-8C or mid 40's F. This is crazy!! i agree with that. The fjørd out front should be starting to freeze over, but its flowing free. not an ice crystal to be found.
