Well, It is COLD here. The tobaggan runs and ski lifts are open. I don't ever remember them being open this early although one place said it is the earliest opening date since 1996. I don't ever remember it being this cold this time of the year. It has been down in the teens and single digits regularly, yesterday morning we got up to a very frigid 9f.

That is very cold, Carolyn! Did the plants in your hoop houses survive?
I must admit winter sports were never my favorite. After shoveling out the driveway and the sidewalk, I was ready for a hot toddy in front of the fire, and a good book.
    Hope you stay warm!

Jane, I was just out to the one greenhouse and it does stay warmer and the plants needed watered, but the hoophouses are mostly done. I did cover the lettuce in the small house, but I haven't looked at it since last week when the temperatures started to plummet. I have cold hands and feet from being out in the shed getting it cleaned up to put all the tractors away once they are checked for repairs, but it was sunny enough today to get the one house up to 91f. now that is doable for me. Otherwise, I am a house person during the winter. I really don't like to cold and the snow, but I can't see us moving, either.

It's been sooo cold here too! We didn't get too much snow yet, but I know down in London, Ontario they got 77cm (30") of snow last week!! I'm a house person during the winter too.
