Next Tuesday is our 27th anniversary. For the first time in several years we have the chance to get away for an anniversary trip this weekend. Randy found a Bed and Breakfast about 70 miles north of here called The Inn of Many Faces, supposed to have carvings and pictures of whimsical faces hidden around the house and garden. Not sure that suddenly finding a whimsical face staring at you will be all that relaxing tho The Inn is run by a couple whose last name is Morton, also our last name, but since they are not from around here they just might not be related. And it is on Morton Street, which we found out while talking to Randy's folks last Monday, is named for Randy's great-great-great grandfather (he might be his 4th great grandfather I lost count of the greats when his dad was saying them) who was one of the early settlers in the area. We will be leaving around noon today and coming home Sunday afternoon. Visiting garden centers is not on the agenda, but the area is possibly ripe with undiscovered junque that can be given new life in the garden.

Thanks for the well wishes for our anniversary. We did have a great time at the BnB. The faces at the Inn were not that startling....except that right outside our door were faces of The Three Stooges hanging on the wall, that was scary :-D It really doesn't feel like 27 years. We are going out to our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant tonight. It is the place Randy took me to on our first 'sort of' date. It was in a pretty shabby building in a pretty scary part of Dallas but the food was wonderful and still is. They have moved to a nicer building just a couple of blocks from the original.
Glad that you both had such a nice time at the B&B. Um, yeah, the stooges right outside my door would startle me, too. Enjoy the restaurant tonight, it's nice to take those little strolls down memory lane, especially if there's yummy food involved! :-D
