We got up this morning and it was sunny. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain. So, I packed up cookies and we delivered cookies today. First stop, the thrift shop. It is run by volunteers and I wanted to give them something back. They have a Christmas luncheon tomorrow so I took them about 6 dozen cookies to go with their lunch.
Next stop was the museum. We stopped in there yesterday. The lady at the museum is a friend. Today, we took her some cookies because she sits there by herself a lot of the time. She has gotten aprons from me and today she wanted to know if I had any children's aprons. I do have what she wants so I will take them one day next week. Then, we went to the tire shop where we will be getting our Christmas tires for our truck. They have been so helpful with fixing our tires and ordering the new ones. So, I took them a large plate of cookies. We each got a big hug there. Then, we went to the fast food place where we often have lunch. I had made an apron for the cook and two of the ladies who take orders and deliver meals to the table. It was a surprise so we got big smiles and hugs there, too. I do so like making people happy. It is so little to pay back what people do for you all year around. It made me feel good, too. I like baking cookies. I do it every year. I still have cookies for the kids and two or three neighbors. I have cookies for the nice man who stopped and changed our tire when it blew out a couple of weeks ago. I got his location and told him I'd bring him cookies so maybe on Saturday he will get cookies. He lives in the big house at the end of the road. I even know which road. Have a great Christmas, all you Gardenstew friends.

What a nice thing to do! :smt049 You are such a kind person Dooley. The people receiving your aprons and cookies must feel so special. I guess most of them were taken by surprise, and I'm certain you brightened up their day ever so much. :stew2:

The true spirit of Christmas is making people happy and you do this with your gifts Dooley. If only more people were like you and DR then this world would be a much better place. You are both very special people.
