An old saying here in Ohio is that you will have 3 snows after the Forsythia blooms. Well it's blooming now and today is the 3rd day of snow! Of course the stupit Forsythia bloomed back in Jan. too! I guess the old saying dosn't stipulate how many times this can happen in one year!

I'm doomed then Capt...my Forsythia hasn't bloomed yet! Or does that only apply to Ohio?

I don't have any forsythia but my neighbor does and his is blooming like crazy. I did have a Bleeding Heart plant and it was about 2 ft. tall and had just started to bloom. I looked at it this afternoon and it is on the ground and looks like someone had slimed it. I had it covered too. But lows at 20 or 21 deg was just too much for it.

I'm glad I put my bleeding heart plants inside last week when we had the frost. I almost decided to leave them out. They are still less than a foot tall. Dooley

I don't think that my bleeding hearts had come up yet so they should still be safe.

I sure hope the snow ends for you Capt, and everyone else. We just came in from outside covering the plants we didn't get to before work today. I can't believe we are going to have a freeze in April.
