Hello Everyone, Hope you are all enjoying the summer. Well, here is my stupid question of the day, I planted some tomato seeds in a large flower pot. They grew into large plants and was doing very well. I had some health problems and ended up in the hospital, while I was there someone else was watering my tomato plant for me. OK, back home and healthy, but I found out that my tomato plant was being watered with water I collect in a barrel. The water is all green and ugly, do you think I could still eat the tomatoes? Thanks for any help. Have a great weekend.
Richie, glad you are out of hospital, and hoping you are feeling well. The tomatoes are fine. The green and ugly water won't hurt a thing, and may add a bit of fertilizer in the form of algae. We have three 250 gal. water catchment cubes, and two 55 gal. barrels. We've never had a problem using the water for our vegetable gardens, and I also use it to water the chickens.
Sorry to hear you were sich and in the hospital, but glad someone took care of the plant for you. I agree with MG... yeah, safe to eat.
I third that. Glad you're back and feeling will. Let's see those tomatoes to make sure they are fit for your eating....
Thank you all for the well wishes. Thank you for the reply's too. I do not post much on here because as I have said before my first love is my 1981 Corvette. I belong to a corvette forum, but must say that All you people on here are the most helpful and kind people of all. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH.
