We went to a garden center on Wednesday. I thought the plants there were a bit pricey. But, we found a sale table. It was loaded with tomatoes for fifty cents each. They looked good, not wilted or leggy or anything. So, I picked out three or four. I looked to see what kind they were. The tag said, "tomato." I bought four of them anyway. We like tomatoes and what does it matter what kind of a tomato goes into our salad. They could be big or little, red or yellow or orange or maybe blue but they will still be a tomato. Today we did a little better. We bought four paks of Celebrity tomatoes and Beefsteak tomatoes. That makes 12 tomato plants for our small garden area, plus the three eggplant and the cucumbers and maybe the zucchini and yellow summer squash. I'm thinking some of the vegetables may just make their way into the flower plots. I need to find a place for dr's mission fig tree, too. charlie
Plants are like teenagers, when they have a party they invite everyone. Pretty soon your garden is full and you are standing there, plants in hand saying, "where do I put them?" Jerry
And I thought I was the only one that "over planted!" Thank you for telling me I'm not alone (alone with my 26 tomato plants and four rows of peas
