We have been blessed with a prolific producing tomato plant this year. It is big,and just keeps on producing. It grew to the top of the brick wing wall, and is hanging over onto my flowers on the other side. The Black Eyed Susan Vine is taking advantage and twining its way into the tomato. It is getting to be a clutter, and we pick, and pick, and pick toms! I have made Salsa three times...

That is a lovely, prolific tomato! Do you remember what variety it is?
I have a recipe for Marinara Sauce that can be frozen: http://www.gardenstew.com/about30046.html
This works with almost any tomato, but the more acidic ones need a touch of brown sugar stirred in. Taste to see how much you want.
There are other great suggestions about freezing/preserving tomatoes on this same thread.
    I envy you your problem!

Just went and picked tomatoes. 3 --- 5 gallon buckets full. Told DH must be the compost tea. Given away many to people who can not garden anymore.

marlin- If memory serves me The tomato is an Early Girl.
(I think) It seems to be producing pretty late in the season for being an early girl ;)
I saved the tag on my other Tom, which is a Celebrity and it hasn't produced as much, but what it did sure has been tasty. Thanks for recipes!
