I told dr yesterday that the tomatoes were way too big and we needed to get them into the orange buckets. So, this morning, he drilled three holes in the bottom of each bucket. We pulled two carts of compost from Glenda's. (She's still in Montana) We mixed the compost with potting soil and put two tomatoes into each bucket. We have eleven buckets. Our oldest son Tom sent me the heirloom seeds so we have no plain old red tomatoes. We have zebra green tomatoes, stripy tomatoes, pink tomatoes, white tomatoes and black tomatoes. If I want red tomatoes I will need to buy them.

Cucumbers are almost big enough to climb the fence on the end of the porch.

Beans are starting to climb the fence on the other end of the porch.

Soon, poor Chance will not be able to see out except for a few open spots. But, it will be shady.

I really love those orange buckets Dooley!! :D Your 'zebra green tomatoes, stripy tomatoes, pink tomatoes, white tomatoes and black tomatoes' all sound very intersting and I look forward to seeing piccies of them when they produce their fruits. I can hardly believe that your cucumbers and beans have come on so quickly as it seemes no time at all since you planted them.

I myself hope you have a few seeds left for me when I get home.I can hardly wait to see all the odd maters you are going to have. The warm weather in Texas and along with my compost does amazing things.

Those are looking good. I'm interested in seeing what they'll look like. Don't think I've ever seen a white mater before. My toms are just coming thru the soil. I really need to get started on the cucs and others. Maybe chance will find an open spot to see thru.
