Northeast Texas, the Ft. Worth area, had a minor earthquake around 8 pm Wednesday, 12/12/12. It was a 2.6 on the Richter Scale (shame it wasn't a 1.2!). Toni, did you feel it?
Nope, I haven't felt any of the quakes that have hit north Texas this year....20 of them so far. I think they have all been just a bit west of us and small enough that you almost have to be on top of them to feel them. News report last night mentioned that in the last 5 years the detecting devices have gotten so much more sensitive that even the small ones are now being noticed. Whereas a few years ago they were happening but the equipment couldn't pick them up.
