    WOW the moon looks so big!! I do love to see a full moon - actually a moon in any its fazes.

    I wouldn't have noticed it if my son hadn't just come home and up the steps and the front door was open. Otherwise we would have all missed out on it. It took about three minutes and it was gone from the horizon.

    Glad you caught the moon, it's spectacular. We've had really high tide today, guess it's caused by the full moon too.

    Thanks. It was a great view last night. Tonight? nothing. There is rain moving in... remnants of the hurricane, I hear. a couple inches forecasted for tonight.

    That's actually because this was a supermoon, the last one of this year - A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach our moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit. So this is why you observed an unusually high tide that day...
