I know I took more than one picture. I probably didn't upload them. But, there are four blooming now and 8 more buds. They are in the corner of the tomato garden between two rose bushes.

I have about 6 that will be open by the weekend and several more buds coming in.

They just keep going and going and will take over the bed so before long you will be trying to find homes of extras too ;)

How deep did you plant the bulbs? Most should not be deeper than 2 inches and the Breaded Iris should be partly above ground level.

I didnt plant em very deep at all, since the growing instructions mentioned that. I do believe the top is above ground. Ill try and get a pic tomorrow.

Age of the bulbs could be a problem too. If they are fairly small, the first few years they will put up green leaves but no blooms. Mature bulbs are usually close to an inch in diameter, smaller than that are too young to bloom.

    Dooley...
I noticed that you thanked Toni for the irises... and it reminded me of something my aunts and others have always told me.
You're NOT supposed to say "thank you" when someone gives you a plant. It's like a curse. The plant will die. Instead, you're supposed to say something else that expresses that same sentiment.
So Toni...hope the photo expresses my gratitude for the irises.
Or... in the words of my Aunt Myrtle... "I'm proud to have 'em!"
