They really aren't Toni's iris's now but she sent me the starts about three years ago. The first year they didn't bloom and the last two years they had some. These two that have opened are about as big as my hand with fingers spread. There are some more buds. Please excuse the weeds, I haven't been able to be outside much due to poor weather or poor health. Now, I'm doing better so will be outside much more. Glad they are performing better this year. I was just out checking mine, lots of buds but only one has the yellow tip showing. I counted close to 5 dozen buds on the patches of them, I can't decide if I want them to all bloom at once for a stunning show or spread themselves out over a few weeks to make it last longer. Oh, I guess it is really their choice. so I will take what they give me.
I planted a lot of new iris this year. I hope they turn out as well as the ones Toni gave you Dooley as they are lovely.
