Two days ago I noticed that my holly bushes along my foundation were starting to look pale, so I added some miracid. The plants are rather large - about 4 ft high and we haven't had much rain here in NE Ohio (along Lake Erie) so I filled a 3 gallon bucket with water and added about 5 scoops of Miracid. I did this twice for each plant.

Today I noticed that one of the hollies is turning brown and the leaves are curling up an hardening. ALso the red berries are getting all wrinkled. Is that from too much acid at one time or could there be something else going on? It's only one of the two bushes.

Heat scorch might make the leaves do that .
