Walked out of greenhouse and saw this. Heard later it touched down about 30 miles from me. No one was hurt but some property damage.

Donna, this looks like a beautiful day. Or am I missing something?

When the clouds do an "andiron" effect, flat on the bottom and puffy at the top, and a little tail comes down, as you can see between the first two trees to the left in Donna's photo, that's a tornado.
Thank heavens you escaped it, Donna!

Phew I'm so glad no-one was hurt. Let's hope the damage to property wasn't too severe.

Don't feel alone Carolyn. I thought the same thing with the seemingly "pretty skies". Happy to hear that there was no human injuries.

I could see the direction it was going. So I was not worried about me. I really thought it would go out to sea it was so high up. It hit about 3 miles from coast, 2 or 3 more minutes it would have been over water.
