We had about 8 of them in the area, within 50 miles, and one got within 15 miles of me before it calmed down and disappeared. One touched down near Cedarville Ohio in southwest Ohio. Did some damage to buildings, but haven't heard of any injuries. People went to basements. We take them serious here!
So happy you avoided any tornadoes, and even happier that you take them seriously. We had a neighbor who once put his two 9 year old daughters in his truck and chased a tornado. I told him if he did that again he wouldn't have to worry about retirement. I hope all our Ohio members are safe and escaped any damage.
I stayed home last night to fill sand bags for diverting the water that I was hoping was not coming with all the thunder I was hearing. Kevin went to church and as soon as he got there they canceled due to tornado warnings and one had been reported to have touched down about 15 miles away...so he came right back home. The weather must have dissipated since we didn't get any more downpours last night. Today is very gloomy, though and more rain fore casted.
