Total eclipse of the moon.

    These are the best piccies I could get for you all. It's the first time that we've been able to see a total eclipse properly as it's usually covered in cloud here.

    The moon is now completely covered and you can just make out a vaguely darker circle in the sky but it doesn't show up on film.

    From here, sometime around 6:45 p.m. it will look like a tiny bit is missing but that is all we will get to see of it.

    Wonderful pictures, thanks for posting them I don't remember ever seeing a total eclipse of the moon. Saw one of the sun several years ago.

    Grand to see your photos, Eileen.
    The moon was still below the treeline at the time of the eclipse
    so I didn't get to see it at all.

    I guess all we could see was just a
    little of the shadow.
