This is Asia’s 2nd Largest Steel Bridge, in an area of district Dera Ghazi Khan - This exact place is known as Fort Munro. Which was established by Leftenant Colonel George Munro during the British rule. Later when Pakistan gained it's Independence in 1947, this area was turned into a tourist destination. However today it holds strategic value, as it's one of the main routes which we call CPEC, (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) - Or as others refer to as China's Belt & Road Initiative. Which will utilize all of Pakistan's ports for export into the entire world... There are 8 bridges in this 15 kilometer stretch of road. Which until recently was almost impossible to travel easily. But today it's open for all types of road vehicles.
This fort is an essential point for those traveling by car. I would like to add information for those traveling by train. You can travel by train from Karachi in the south to the northern foothills and from Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan, to India.
I didn’t expect you to see such beauty in Pakistan. This place is truly impressive, being Asia’s second-largest steel bridge. Actually, my boyfriend invited me to visit Pakistan to meet his parents, and seeing places like this makes me even more excited about the trip. But I insist we take a business class flight because 12 hours in the economy would drain me out. I actually found some deals. You can visit site for some info about it.
How is it possible to travel to India from Quetta? Quetta is on the Western side of Pakistan. So traveling to Iran from there I would understand. But India is on the East. Also, why would anyone from Pakistan want to travel to India? Are you not aware that throughout most of history, both countries are always on the verge of full scale war. So most of the time there is a travel and trade ban - As both countries are sworn enemies. And by the way, Karachi is the Southern most city of Pakistan, beyond which is the Arabian Sea, (Indian Ocean). So if you want to go further South from Karachi - Please wear a lifejacket, as the next land mass straight South of Karachi, is Antarctica... Therefore it is highly unlikely that there is any train leaving from Karachi towards the South.
