Does anyone else have a Tracfone prepaid cell phone? Me my wife and my son each have one and it's the way to go for us. I still had 221 minutes left on mine until Feb. But they came out with a special deal. 800 minutes for one year plus 200 bonus minutes and rolled over the minutes I still had left, all for $99.99 I just went ahead and purchased it and I now have a total of 1221 minutes to use in the next 365 days!

Wow that sounds like a great deal to me. I hardly ever use the mobile I have - a freebie from Avon cosmetics - but it's good to know it's there if I need it. :stew2:

I use mine mostly for long distance calls. It dosn't cost any extra, just the number of minutes I use.

I've never heard of Tracfone. Maybe it's not in Canada yet? I spend far too much for my mobile phone and I hardly ever use it.

I got my phone at Wal Mart and paid $49 for the phone and then purchased the minutes. Their web site is www.tracfone.com you might want to see if they are in Canada yet.

Capt in Texas Tracfone wont do anything for us.You can't reach out of town with it.I have a Cingular and talk from Texas to Montana on it without roaming but if I did it wouldn't cost extra.

Wow, you are a big spender. I got my tracfone for 12 bucks at the grocery store and only stick on minutes to keep the phone from expiring- 'cuz I never remember to take it with me! But I do stick it in my bike bag whenever I go for a ride, just in case of emergency, or to let DH know if the cool herd of elk is out in the wildlife preserve I ride through.

Mine works everywhere. I called my cousin in San Diego without roaming. Critter, I got the fancy one!

that's Exactly why I won't go for a regular cell phone, because I know I would lose it for sure!
