I guess I didn't make enough noise when I opened the door for the dogs to go outside...this black squirrel got scared and went up our biggest tree. My dogs never even realized he was up there...so as soon as I saw him, I called them in. Now he is still up the tree after an hour and the dogs want out again. Hopefully he will be smart enough to come down soon....the one picture, he really looks like he is holding on for dear life... Black squirrel... I think the squirrel is being overly cautious. Since it is up a tree......well........It will go on it's way when it is good and ready. If it were injured I would be more concerned. It is, after all, on it's home turf, where it goes to be safe. It will not be there later today. If you feel guilty for the dogs. Place a cracker with peanut butter at the base of the tree as a peace offering. Jerry
Jerry....I had to laugh , my dogs love peanut butter and believe me they would find that cracker before the squirrel did. The squirrel only eats here, he lives some place else... He did find his way down the tree and I think he left to relax at home.
