Tree ID, please

This tree is growing in the front yard near the road. We noticed it buzzing when we walked under it and it smells so sweet. It was full of bees.






It's a very tall tree. The little dangling thingies are covered with bees.
Glenda says the leaves change from green to yellow to red in the fall. The trunks in the background are from a different tree. I will try to get a picture of the bark if you need it.

The things hanging has little white berries later on.

 

Looks like some kind of cherry to me.

 

Sort of looks like a chestnut tree to me. My grandmother has one in her yard and it gets spiney covered nuts all over it. The wormy things fall off.

 

Dooley, it is a Chinese Tallow tree, it is very invasive in the South, so be careful to keep all the little seedlings mowed down.

 

Cajunbelle said it is a Chinese Tallow tree or Candleberry or popcorn tree. She posted a link to Dave's Garden forum on another site. It's very invasive if you don't keep the suckers cut off. dooley

 

Pretty sure it is a kind of Poplar to me, difficult to tell without knowing the leaf size.

 

Doesn't look like the Chinese Tallows we had. Their leaves were more rounded. But they were very invasive and come up everywhere!!! They had some kind of berries on them.

 

I looked them up and it is a Chinese Tallow, very fast growing. We didn't get them all cut off and now there are four of them. dooley
