    Hi all,
Recently bought a new house and have 4 trees in the backyard. I'm just wondering if they are too close to the house. I would prefer not to dig them up but also don't want the roots damaging the house.
The first 3 trees are a semi dwarf Asian pear tree, a dwarf plum tree and a dwarf peach tree. All these trees are approx 5 ft from the house and spaced approx 6 feet apart. The peach and plum tree are approx 3 ft high and the Asian pear tree is approx 6 ft high.
The other tree is a semi dwarf black mission fig tree, this is the one that concerns me.
It is approx 6ft high and the trunk 4 inches thick. It has fruit at the moment. It is 12ft from the house and 4ft from the garden path. I have read that it has a very large root system and don't really want it to damage the house or path, there are no obvious large roots at the moment.
    Any advice would be welcome.
    I live in Las Vegas.

Assuming that you have a concrete or pier and beam foundation,,none you mentioned would be a great concern to me. Dwarf and semi dwarf varieties are pretty safe. We have full size fruit trees about 10 feet from our house. Now if it were a pecan or ornamental that gets 30 + ft tall,,I would say your in trouble.
