I found these Trilliums in a wooded area. There was a huge patch of them all in bloom and I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures! The red ones got my attention because they are rare around here and so beautiful.
Trilliums are the official flower of Ontario :)

I'm not too sure if they smell Teddybear. Next time I see some I'll smell them! I have a feeling that they don't or I would have known.

I've never noted any particular scent from them - I have two sets of white ones in my yard that come back each year. They are a protected native plant, at least here in Oregon.

To day I drove from our home in Northern Wisconsin, to Milwaukee. Along the way I drove through an area that I knew of, where there would be Trilliums. For a short time each spring they flower for a couple weeks and the forest floor is ablaze with the flowers. I had my camera along and got these photos. Also there is a web sight that talks about them.

I found a huge patch of Trilliums blooming yesterday in a forest. It was an incredible sight...the forest floor was completely covered with white blooms as far as you could see. I didn't have my camera with me :(
