It is pretty typical of what is going on here at the minute.

That is breathtaking and surreal. I do puzzles on my tablet to relax, and quite a few are views of your country with the blooms. So beautiful Sjoerd. Makes my heart ache to see it.

What a wonderful image. There is so much going on! The beautiful stripes of tulip color, seemingly converging in the distance. So brilliant. Then there's the storm in the distance, behind the middle windmill.

Even though foreigners (like me) think of The Netherlands as having quaint old windmills, those are utterly modern. As is the entire image.

thanks, Sjoerd, for sharing that image.

    Pac— you’re welcome.

    Cheers Loggie.

Thanks Mel— Sorry to hear about your heartache. Gosh, Shall I send an ambulance or something?

You look at this pic in the same way I do. It is why I wanted to post it.
Ahh, and the quaint windmills. I know what you mean about that. Those modern turbines are required for work in this century.

There are some folks who only moan about these new turbines…but here’s the thing— windmills never were constructed to serve and be appreciated as a thing of beauty, they were built to serve a purpose. There are many different types of windmills that are made for different jobs like, mixing paint, to grind seeds, to saw lumber and to move water from lower areas to higher ones.

So glad you liked the foto taken in my area of the country.

Sjoerd....so many tulips...is it all for the tulip bulb industry? Or fresh cut flower industry?

    Mel— for the bulb industry.
It is sad to see the flowers cut off, but they must so that all the “growing energy” will go into the bulb.

Netty if you ever visit Nederland at this time of year you can see them all over the place. Strange, but one has the tendency to become a bit nonchalant about them.
