Beautiful!! Do you ever get fruit from them? I have a Lavender Lady that had bloomed last month, I'm hoping for more blooms eventually.
Toni,it made one fruit last year, but it was too late in the year and it never ripened. Sure would be nice to at least get one fruit. Maybe this year
Passionflower is the first flower I remember seeing. Looking back 45 yrs. ago, it was Passiflora caerulea. My mother grew it on a trellis in the back yard. I can still remember the fragrance. I recently bought from Logee's Nursery (mail order), 2 plants of the supposed same species, but improved. We'll see how they do. Passiflora caerulea on my light pole. And the move continues... Lexus, Mercedes, BMW. I'd treat them the same.

My passion flower is like your first one.When I was young going to the cotton patch with my mother they were called May pops.They taste very good.I have them blooming all over my yard.
I love passions of all kinds I only ever got the caerulea one to bloom... but I am not giving up. I have another alata that no-one over here made it bloom. It would be something!
Lovely blooms, Cheryl. I have tried to growe both those here and had luittle success. I applaude your accomplishments. They are so interesting to look at. I enjoyed seeing your foto's this posting.
Thanks everyone! I think they are the most complicated-but-beautiful flower mother nature produced. I remember the first time my brother saw it. He exclaimed "What the H*** is that thing??!!" I would love to find a red one.
Cheryl, I have a Lady Margaret which is a red one. It's only a small plantlet right now so I don't expect any blooms this year but if/when it does bloom I will try my hand at gathering seeds and send you some. That is dependent of course on whether it develops fruit too, my Lavender Lady never has.
